Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

316

Went for bloods last month and, well, I've only got a few more little soldiers than Leonidas had. Soon, it seems, my viral load shall blot out the sun and we shall fight in the shade. Got to repeat the blood test soon but sounds like those years I thought I had left before I'd have to start on medication are fewer than I'd hoped in number.

You'll make it through.

I'v been positive for less than a year and like you I was hoping to put off medication for as many years as possible.
Somehow it seems to make you feel less sick if you don't have to treat it, right?

My T cells were down to 310, and my VL had always been very high. It wasn't easy... but beyond all doubts and hopes, I trust my doctor.

Now I'm on Atripla and my VL fell to undetectable within one month (it usually takes up to three). I had a good happy cry when I heard the news. And by the way, luckily the side effects are manageble.

It's 2007. Your chances are good.
Good luck with your decision.
